We consider it to be a model of interdisciplinary clinical intervention where Music Therapy plays a central role that, through its evaluation process, collects valuable information for the structure and the subsequent intervention process. The method has an internal structure that can be adapted through the different internal evaluations of the team until arriving at a way that we believe is applicable and replicable to other possible cases and teams and that is valid and accurate for interdisciplinary treatments. The care model focuses on interdiscipline, the approach is cross-sectional, it is a dynamic, flexible, personalized care model, and adapted to the needs of early childhood, which, applied in a systematic way, helps to obtain important behavioral results. adaptation, habits and improves the quality of life substantially for the children and families to which it applies. CanPau is based, therefore, on teamwork and the common element of the interaction between disciplines so that they converge, share and relate to each other. In this sense, the space, the professionals, the material and the methodology make up a common project with much to offer. The Canpau methodology focuses on family care, diagnosis, evaluation, planning, treatment, professional guidance, help and advice, effective therapeutic intervention, interdisciplinary work, team meetings and networking, development of innovative projects and programs , preparation of individualized treatment plans, counseling on behavior at home to families and caregivers, counseling for teachers and tutors, family mediation between the pedagogical guidance teams and the family, and early care centers and child-youth mental health centers and family etc. to meet the demands of both educational and health referents for the implementation of effective educational and health actions and treatments in certain children with serious disorders.
Common elements of effective intervention programs:INDIVIDUALIZED: there is no single and equal enabling program for all affected people. The diversity between them (severity, associated problems, age, environmental conditions, etc.) makes it difficult to propose an identical treatment for all of them. The treatment plan for each specific case must be justified. STRUCTURED: implies both the adaptation of the environment to the predictability and stability needs of these people and the explanation of the objectives to be achieved and the activities designed to achieve it. Only an organized multidisciplinary program, structured a priori, allows a reliable evaluation of the objectives achieved, which should always have been agreed with the family, whenever this is feasible. INTENSIVE AND EXTENSIVE: it is necessary for the family to take advantage of all the natural opportunities to apply the individualized plan, or to generate them in order to achieve the average as international reference institutions of 20 to 25 hours a week, which favor the generalization of the acquired behaviors in more structured environments. This is the best way to get children to learn new social, communication, adaptive and play skills, while reducing, as far as possible, the symptoms of autism and other associated problems that may arise.
